Michael Polo is the President/Founder of ACMT, Inc. With more than 40 years of experience, Michael’s role centers around inspiring and growing both the team and the company. Always focusing on working smarter, not harder. His leadership style is rooted in change-management, resilience, and leading with positivity even when faced with many challenges.
Michael brings deep knowledge of ACMT’s history, a strong ability to see the best in people, and a clear understanding of his own limitations. These strengths have helped shape company culture. This leads to Michael often saying that he “has never worked a day” since founding ACMT. Investing in the growth of both the company and its people consistently delivers rewards that surpass any challenges along the way.

Paul Polo is the Vice President of ACMT, Inc. He supports all phases of the company, with a strong focus on compliance and government work. He has more than 60 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Paul is known for offering steady leadership with deep knowledge across all operations.
Paul’s greatest strengths are his team first mindset and his belief in treating people the way he wants to be treated. He is motivated by the opportunity to work alongside strong leaders and contributes to the continued success of the organization.
Prior to ACMT, Paul served as President and CEO of DGT, where he led a global workforce of 525 employees, including 110 team members in Poland.
Outside of work, Paul enjoys following all UConn sports and spending quality time with family.

He is passionate about driving the voice of the customer throughout the organization and fostering collaboration across all functions at ACMT.
John brings deep expertise in Strategic Planning and Deployment, Organizational Lean Implementation and Sustainment, Coaching and Mentoring, Culture Change, and Team Development. He believes Lean is about respecting and empowering people, aligning teams around clear goals and giving them the tools to see problems, solve them, and eliminate waste. His leadership approach centers on building strong teams, creating a culture of continuous improvement, and aligning the organization around shared goals. He is motivated by the success of the company and, most importantly, the success of the people who work at ACMT.
John earned a degree from Central Connecticut State University in Business Management with a concentration in Production. From college, John began his career at The Wiremold Company, where he took on increasing responsibility over ten years. He later served in progressive leadership roles for eight years at HID Global, where he was recognized with multiple Shingo Awards, including Connecticut Bronze and Gold awards and National Silver and Gold Shingo Medallions, the highest global standard for organizational excellence. Immediately prior to joining ACMT, John served as Vice President of Mechanical Solutions at Cadrex and Chief Operating Officer at C&M Corporation, continuing his focus on enterprise transformation and operational excellence.
John’s professional development includes advanced training through Shingijutsu Consulting, the Center for Creative Leadership, Win/Win Negotiating, and DiSC Training. He has received numerous honors throughout his career, served on the Connstep Board of Directors from 2013 to 2021, and has been recognized for his commitment to diversity, inclusion, community service, and leadership development.
Outside of work, John enjoys golfing, spending time with family and friends, and continuously learning. He believes that personal growth and leadership development are lifelong pursuits.

Anishka Pereira serves as ACMT’s Director of Business Development, where she focuses on strengthening the ACMT brand and expanding the company’s presence across commercial, defense, and emerging aerospace markets. Anishka works to identify new market opportunities, build strong strategic partnerships, and guide internal teams through complex capture and proposal efforts. Her role connects market insights, customer relationships, and cross functional collaboration to drive long term growth and global reach.
With nearly 15 years of experience in the aerospace industry, Anishka brings deep expertise in MRO program management, customer engagement, and strategic planning. Having worked in both Singapore and the United States, she offers a global perspective and strong understanding of how customers think, what they value, and how to deliver on commitments. Her experience includes strengthening customer relationships, leading programs to successful delivery, and aligning business development strategies with operational capabilities.
Prior to joining ACMT, Anishka served as a Customer Solutions Manager at Chromalloy. She holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and an MBA in Business Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Outside of work, Anishka enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband have three children and a spirited Shiba Inu. Originally from Singapore, she enjoys cooking dishes from home whenever she feels homesick and unwinding with her favorite crime shows.

Frank Murphy directs ACMT’s Operations, Engineering, Facilities, Production Planning, and Continuous Improvement initiatives, ensuring safety, quality, and optimal customer satisfaction across all value streams. He also leads a team of innovative engineers and operations professionals, facilitating Kaizen events and driving improvements in first pass yield, capacity, and overall operational performance.
With more than 30 years of experience in engineering, project management, and operations leadership, Frank brings deep expertise in manufacturing, design, product, and test engineering across the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries. He specializes in applying Lean principles and the waste-elimination tools of the Toyota Production Systems to minimize waste, optimize flow, and strengthen collaboration throughout the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle.
Prior to joining ACMT, Frank served as Engineering Manager for E.A. Patten, supporting aerospace OEM tube and sheet metal assemblies. He also spent five years as a Continuous Improvement Consultant supporting more than 80 Connecticut manufactures through the MEP network and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
Frank attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Quinnipiac University and has continued to build his expertise through professional certifications. He is a Certified Training Within Industry Job Instructions and Job Relations Trainer and a Certified Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) Assessor.
Outside of work, Frank enjoys being a dad and spending time with his son, Joe. They often bike along Connecticut’s Farmington River trails together. Frank also runs, cycles, hikes, and occasionally works on classic car restoration projects.

Carl Johnson serves as the Engineering Manager at ACMT Inc., leading cross functional collaboration between engineering, quality, and production teams. His role centers on supporting new and returning customer work by driving alignment, efficiency, and high standards of quality throughout the manufacturing process.
With 15 years at ACMT Inc., Carl brings extensive engineering experience and institutional knowledge. His background includes hands-on engineering work, technical problem-solving, and mentoring engineers to ensure designs and processes are practical, efficient, and aligned with customer standards. He is motivated by tackling complex technical problems while supporting and developing strong engineering solutions within the organization. Contributing hands on engineering expertise that improves processes and strengthens our technical capabilities is what drives his work.
Carl started his college career at Wentworth Institute of Technology studying Mechanical Engineering, then completed his degree in Manufacturing Engineering at Fitchburg State University, building a strong foundation for his work in aerospace manufacturing engineering. From college, Carl began his career at ACMT as a Production Worker to understand the products we make, from the ground up. He then progressed through Manufacturing Engineer and Project Engineer roles, leading up to his current role as Engineering Manager.
Outside of work, Carl loves spending time with his wife, son, and two dogs. Much of his time is spent cheering on his son as he excels in hockey and competes in BMX racing. In his spare time, Carl can be found working on project cars and dirt bikes, snowboarding, and biking with his family. He enjoys hands-on mechanical projects and staying active outdoors, which also allows him to apply problem solving and technical skills in a fun family focused way.

Kathy Sylvester serves as ACMT’s Master Planning and Scheduling Manager and the Shipping and Receiving Manager. With 45 years of Aerospace Operational Experience, Kathy plays a critical role in keeping operations running efficiently from planning through delivery.
Kathy is a subject matter expert in operational system processes, Epicor (ERP system), and customer service. She has particular strengths in system processing and managing the full quote to cash process. Kathy is motivated by the sense of accomplishment that comes from successfully completing projects and implementations. Knowing that achieving the goal, even behind the scenes is the true reward.
Kathy has been with ACMT for 20 years and previously spent 16 years at Gunver Manufacturing/DGT Manufacturing.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and glamping (glamourous camping) as much as she can. She is also an avid reader and has read over 200 books on her Kindle.

She is responsible for ensuring customer requirements, priorities, and changes are clearly communicated throughout the organization while supporting production scheduling to meet delivery expectations.
Rebecca excels at constant communication with customers to understand expectations, reviews and reconciles schedules and open orders within Epicor, and ensures production schedules are updated to reflect changes in due dates or priorities. Rebecca also prepares planning and scheduling reports, enters and releases orders to production, and closely monitors critical time jobs through the manufacturing process, escalating at risk orders as need to support on time delivery.
Rebecca earned a degree in Business Office Technology from Manchester Community College in 1995. Her background includes experience in finance, government packaging, and administrative and office roles prior to joining ACMT in 2017.
Outside of work, Rebecca has a husband, Charles, of over 30 years and two children. Rounding out the family are two dogs Tiberius and Persephone. Rebecca is an avid reader and traveler. With her favorite travel destination being Bermuda.

Yaralis Rivera lived in New Britain for 18 years before moving to Manchester in 2012. She began a six month certificate training program for machining at MCC, which opened the door for her at ACMT in 2013.
Yaralis began in the inspecting department at ACMT, working there for a year, before transitioning into the customer service department. After another year, she then took on more responsibilities, this time in the planning and scheduling department.
In this role, Yaralis provides work instructions for the day, as well as staying in constant contact with customers as to the status of their deliveries. She also provides jobs to the production works in time to meet the customer demand.
